Unbelievably, it’s 20 years since this song made Coldplay a global success. I remember buying their Parachutes album whilst at sixth form college!

As much as I like the song, Yellow is not my favourite track on the album and so I decided to give it a different feel with some subtle West African influences.

This was recorded for a competition as well as for my fans of course.

Just like the original, I decided to record the video on the beach – and it gave me an excuse to go out – a rare thing in these strange times.
